Superdry

In 1985, the SuperGroup was founded with the brand Cult Clothing, designed by Julian Dunkerton and his business partner. The first Cult store opened in Cheltenham, which led to the opening of many more in university cities like Edinburgh, Oxford, and Birmingham.

Julian Dunkerton returned from a trip to Tokyo and partnered with the creator of the Bench brand, James Holder. Together, they founded the Superdry company in the United Kingdom. The logo became well-known for its combination of American and Japanese letters and graphics. The name was inspired by a trip to Japan, during which Julian Dunkerton and James Holder examined thousands of food packages and local stores. All Japanese packages had the word "Super."

When Holder returned to the UK, he decided to give the brand a Japanese touch and added some symbols to the logo.
In December 2011, Superdry opened its store on Regent Street in London, and in October 2014, the founder and CEO Julian Dunkerton was replaced by Euan Sutherland.
Superdry has 768 locations in 65 countries, including 21 international online stores, and it continues to impress with modern clothing, footwear, and accessories for both men and women.
